2026 Elders’ Retreat
All elders and their spouses are invited to attend the English-language Elders’ Retreat, October 2 – 4, 2026, at Camp Ida-Haven.
It is our privilege to provide a spiritually enriching retreat to help you in your role. We will cover the costs of meals and lodging for you and your spouse.

The speaker for the English-language retreat will be Ron Price, MA. He is an author, speaker, trainer, and humorist. He thoroughly enjoys entertaining audiences while also giving them tools, tips, and techniques with which they may enjoy healthier relationships, a more satisfying life, and be better able to live out Romans 12:18.
Ron holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico. He has completed over 700 hours of continuing education, mostly in the fields of facilitation, mediation, and relationship skills-building. By God’s Grace, he has authored three books: Play Nice in Your Sandbox at Work, Play Nice in Your Sandbox at Home, and Play Nice in Your Sandbox at Church.
Ron is an elder in the Pinon Hills SDA Church in Farmington, New Mexico, and a former member of the Rocky Mountain Conference Executive Committee. He has spoken or trained both in-person and virtually for many faith-based and secular entities around the US.
He is also the co-founder of the Institute for Biblical Peacemakers, an SDA ministry focused on equipping churches and individuals to handle conflict well and in a God-honoring manner. Ron is happily married to Maridell Price, a retired Registered Nurse. They have been married for 45 years. They have no children but do have way too many cats.
